Misty Blues

Imagine peering out the door of an airplane at 4,000’ up. Now imagine stepping outside that plane, right into the wide open sky.

This is what the members of the Misty Blues All Woman Skydiving Team do all the time. Not only that, but they enjoy doing it.

Since the early 1980’s The Misty Blues All Woman Skydiving Team has been thrilling audiences at Airshows, Corporate events and other Special occasions. These extremely talented and brave ladies delight in displaying the parachuting talents that make them some of the most skilled skydivers in the world.

There really are not very many skydivers around. Why? Because it’s scary at first. The feeling of stepping out into the sky and being unattached to any earthly object is a wonderful thrill, but it is also completely different from all other human experiences.

Of those few who are willing to take the plunge, only a small percentage are women. There are about 35,000 active skydivers in the whole North American continent. Of those, a mere 12% are women.

In a reversal of the usual statistics, the Misty Blues team is 100% women. The ladies on the team come from all across the US.

The ladies that attend the airshow will have come from across the US to demonstrate their amazing skydiving skills. They perform a variety of beautiful and exciting stunts.

They do things in the air that make people look up into the sky and feel excitement, or patriotism or the thrill of a shocking visual treat.

Watch for what may be the largest American flag you’ll ever see. One of the team members will jump with an American flag that weighs in at amazing 50lbs. and 60’ long. Even if she is a petite thing, the flag jumper will always weigh well over 150 lbs. when she steps out of the plane.

And why are there 8 women on the team if four go to every show? Besides being great skydivers, these women are also highly successful professionals. The team has a Doctor, an accounting manager, welder, airport manager, engineer, etc…… The list of accomplishments is amazing.

The ladies after their jumps go meet as many people as possible, its one of their favorite parts of the job.
